Once I decided to turn a corner of my office into a Tiki Bar type space; I figured I would need some way to display my Tiki Mugs. I happened to have some old Coke / Soda crates that I've had for many years. I thought the aged look of the wooden crates would help create an interesting look to the area.
I decided to use French Cleats to allow for what might be potentially some heavy display items. I found these French Cleats on Amazon that worked great. I also made sure to use wallboard anchors which could handle 75lbs of weight. Here's a photo during the process of installing them.
If you can't locate any crates like this at Yard Sales or other avenues, there are some wooden crates which would fit the bill on Amazon.
